Murfreesboro Citizens Police Academy

The Murfreesboro Citizens Police Academy is a 12 week program that allows Citizens to get a look at what goes on behind the scenes at the local police department. They are introduced to the rigorous training that law enforcement has to go thru. They get to see mock crime scenes and are introduced to handcuffing techniques, tour the facilities, see how and when  the pepper spray is used, see the police cars and even ride on a shift with waivers signed. This class is very informative of the procedures, paperwork, the many facets of Law Enforcement. How much does it costs... ?

There is a $50.00 fee

This fee is necessary to conduct a criminal history and background check on all applicants.

Why Should I Attend 

This is a very informative twelve week 3 hour per session class. The classes promptly start at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. The interactive class will address the many aspects of Law Enforcement. The Instructors are very professional and Qualified. The hands on class will allow you to see first hand what the Murfreesboro City Police encounter on a daily basis. How and why they handle situations in certain ways. The relation established between the citizens of Rutherford County and the local Police departments will help to make a safer community for all who live or visit here.
