The Jefferson Davis Monument was built in memory of all he had done for Kentucky. The obelisk was finished on June 7, 1924, and it stands 351 feet high. This Memorial is under repair. Scaffolding is surrounding for workers to restore the exterior of this Monument.

This scaffolding is about 300 feet up. An Awesome site.

Notice the observation window, elevator carries visitors for a great view.

The chute on the right allows for discarding materials to a trash collector at base of tower.

There's a nice gift shop and small museum at the Monument. This painting of Jefferson Davis is one of several.

Area around Tower was fenced off for restoration.

Last 4 or 5 stories has a black barrier to protect workers from wind and weather as well as keep from dropping materials as work progress's.
